RAGUI© is a web-based open source graphical interface for managing and maintainingReal Time Asterisk.


RAGUI© is a PBX management interface for Asterisk that takes advantage of Asterisk's "realtime" capabilities. The goal of RAGUI© is to deliver a complete PBX management system that is easy to use while providing the power, flexibility and features of the industries' leading open source IP PBX platform, Asterisk.


Realtime Asterisk uses the MySQL relational database to access dialplan, extension and configuration data. This allows for dynamic additions and changes to users, extensions and dialplans without having to restart or reload the system. Management of the PBX information in a relational database also provides for much greater flexibility in system deployment, back-up and recovery over the conventional management of "flat" configuration files. Realtime Asterisk also provides the foundation for building clustered and highly available Asterisk systems.


To date, the biggest challenge in taking advantage of the many advantages of Realtime Asterisk has been the lack of a full featured and easy to use graphical management tool. With RAGUII©, all that changes. RAGUII© provides a full PBX management interface for Realtime Asterisk. It is built with the powerful Ruby on Rails web development framework to allow easy and rapid feature updating and integration. RAGUII© is open source (licensed with GPL V2), so you can extend customize it to meet your specific needs.
